What is this course?
It is an open online course, which is the result of the work developed by the partners in the EU project “Gender Equality Matters (GEM): Tackling gender stereotyping, gender-based bullying and gender-based violence”. The Principal Investigator of the GEM project is Dr. Seline Keating. She is assisted by Dr. Bernie Collins and Mr. Derek Laffan. The project partners comprise of the University of Murcia (Spain), KMOP Social Action and Innovation Centre (Greece), Fondazione Mondo Digitale (Italy) and the European School Heads Association (The Netherlands).
Goals
We intend to help professionals and families improve the education of our children in relation to gender equality from a global perspective of human rights and the prevention of school violence.
Content
The course is made up of four modules:
1. Rights and equality.
2. Gender and media stereotypes.
3. Gender-based bullying and gender-based violence.
4. Respond to gender-based bullying and gender-based violence.
How much time do I need to do the course?
If you want to use all the resources and to do all the activities, you will need approximately 8 to 9 hours.
